Wir suchen aktuell: Head of Procurement USA (m/f/d) in USA
Our client, an internationally active family-owned company in the field of electrical engineering, needs your support!
Your future area of responsibility includes:
Strategic development of procurement on a global level (Make-or-Buy, Dual Sourcing, Local-for-Local)
- Leading and building an international procurement team (locations: Germany, Romania, USA, China, India)
- Responsibility for material costs, savings targets, and cost-out initiatives
- Supporting international relocation projects (e.g. establishing a plant in Romania, EMS in India, assembly in the USA)
- Further development and digitalization of procurement processes in SAP S/4HANA / APO
- Close collaboration with product development, SCM, quality, and suppliers
- Building and managing a robust global supplier network
- Contract negotiations, framework agreements, supplier development
- Ensuring material availability while optimizing costs and quality
Your profile:
- Completed technical or business degree (e.g. industrial engineering, business administration, SCM)
- At least 7–10 years of experience in strategic and operational procurement, ideally in a manufacturing industrial company with an international setup
- Experience with relocation projects / international manufacturing networks
- Experience in the USA is desirable
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (MM, APO) is a plus
- Experience in building / reorganizing procurement organizations
- Strong leadership skills, structured and assertive personality
- Fluent in English and German
- Hands-on mentality – pragmatic, solution-oriented, proactive
- Work permit (visa/green card for the USA is a major advantage)
Conditions:
- Type of position: Interim, full-time
- Location: USA (NC)
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: Approx. 6–12 months with an option to extend
